About Sandblasting

Six green hexagons in a row

During the sandblasting process, we use abrasives to remove all foreign matter from your product. This is essential to provide a clean smooth surface. There are a range of abrasives you can use to smooth a surface. The type of abrasive should be selected based on the makeup of the product. We offer sand, bead, and grit blasting at Integrity.

Sandblasting Process

To achieve quality sandblasting results that create the desired outcome, we complete the following stages:

Cleaning

Debris and contaminants are removed from the parts before sandblasting.

Abrasive Blasting

During the blasting process, compressed air is used to push the abrasive material through a nozzle that is directed at the parts. After the process is complete, the parts go through a final cleaning process to remove any leftover debris.

Curing

While we primarily offer sandblasting as preparation for powder coating, sandblasting is also useful for rust and paint removal and mil scale removal for hot rolled steel.
